Phil Cook is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer based in Durham, North Carolina. He has composed music for Bon Iver, Kanye West, The Blind Boys of Alabama, and Hiss Golden Messenger, among others, as well as contributed to studio recordings for Amy Ray (The Indigo Girls), The Mountain Goats, Kathleen Edwards, Matthew E White and more. A founding member of Megafaun and The Shouting Matches (with Justin Vernon), he currently makes records and tours under his own name. His most recent album, "All These Years", was released in 2021 by Psychic Hotline.
In addition to being a writer and a vocalist, Cook possesses mastery of a plethora of instruments (piano, guitar, organ, slide, banjo, dobro, harmonica, synth etc) and is an increasingly in-demand producer, musical director, and arranger.
